Latest ‘Doctor Strange 2’ TV Spot Removes Rachel McAdams

Marvel is up to their tricks again!

A recently released TV spot for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness removed Rachel McAdams from a shot.

Rachel McAdams will return as Christine Palmer in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness after it was initially reported that she wouldn’t appear. When we got our first look at the sequel during the end credits of Spider-Man: No Way Home, we see McAdams’ Christine Palmer in a shot behind Strange and America Chavez opening a door to some chaos.

Marvel Studios is known for their trickery in trailers and TV spots, and it appears we have another instance of this with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. In the new TV spot, we see that same shot of Strange and America Chavez, but Rachel McAdams’ Christine Palmer is nowhere to be seen. It’s unclear at this time what this spells for the upcoming film, but we’ve seen McAdams in other shots as well, so she might not be cut from the film altogether. You can check out the new shot in the TV spot below.

Here is the synopsis for the film:

The MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.

Directed by Sam Raimi from a script written by Michael Waldron, the upcoming movie stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, with Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits theaters on May 6, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on the upcoming film, and subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
