Ray Porter revealed he wants to reprise his Darkseid role after playing the iconic DC villain in Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

Although DC fans have only glimpsed Ray Porter as Darkseid in the Justice League footage revealed by director Zack Snyder, many are excited to see the New God in action after he was unceremoniously cut from the theatrical cut. The first trailer for the Snyder Cut (which heads to HBO Max next year) revealed a full look at the villain in his assault on Earth against an almighty alliance of Atlanteans, Amazonians, humans and even Green Lanterns.

But in a recent interview with Geek House Show, Ray Porter discussed his Darkseid role and explained that he hopes to reprise the character in a future DC film or even a continuation of Zack Snyder’s story. Filmmaker Ava DuVernay and writer Tom King are currently working on a New Gods film together, so it’s not impossible that Porter could be called back to play the character again. Although he was keen to point out that he’s “not heard anything about it.”

“I hope so. I would like that. I would love to see that, and obviously I would hope that whoever does that will have me along for the ride. Yeah, I would love to see a continuation of it. And honestly, I personally would love to see a continuation of Zack’s story. So yes, I really hope so. That would be great. I’ve not heard anything about it, but you know. Hope.”
