The internet is under the impression that Ryan Reynolds could be returning as Deadpool for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

From what we know of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it’s expected that the film will be chock-full of cameos from across the multiverse. After the reception of Spider-Man: No Way Home, it’s clear that Marvel fans are ready for more cameos and surprise appearances. The latest trailer for the Benedict Cumberbatch sequel teased the return of Patrick Stewart’s Professor X, who was last seen in Logan. But the hype doesn’t end there, as fans now think there’s another cameo on the horizon…

The newly released poster for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness features various characters and icons seen through glass shards. The most notable is Captain Carter’s shield, implying she’ll make her live-action debut in the film. There’s more to this poster, though! Look closely at the pictures below and you’ll find an eagle-eyed fan zooming in on a shard of glass that might just feature Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool.

The silhouette does bear a strong resemblance to Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool suit, particularly towards the eyes and blood-red mask. Could Deadpool actually appear in the film? We know that Marvel Studios will be handling Ryan Reynolds’ threequel as the hero, so it is possible that this is the best way to integrate the character in the ever-expanding universe. Of course, nothing has been confirmed, and this could very well be just a character who was poorly lit for the poster.

Here is the synopsis for Marvel Studios’ next film:

The MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.

Directed by Sam Raimi from a script written by Michael Waldron, the upcoming movie stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, with Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams.
