Spider-Man 4 may be bringing in Peter Parker’s most anticipated villain. However, a new rumor suggests they may not have the biggest role in their Marvel Cinematic Universe debut.
The MCU has given Peter Parker a fresh start heading into Spider-Man 4, with fans excited to see what new villain the project might hold for everyone’s favorite web-head. A new rumor by scooper MyTimeToShineHello suggests that, while he won’t be the main villain, Venom will be making his debut in the project.
Fans of Venom are likely to be disappointed by this rumor if it turns out to be true. So many projects outside of the MCU have rushed the Black Suit storyline, leading many to hope that Spider-Man 4 wouldn’t turn the symbiote evil quite so quickly. However, given that Spider-Man will likely continue to don the suit into Avengers: Secret Wars, the rumor may not be as water-tight as many may expect.
Venom’s Cinematic Future
Spider-Man 4 isn’t the only movie set to feature Venom in the near future. Sony is finishing up its own symbiote saga with Venom: The Last Dance, which is set to debut later this year. The film is set to conclude Tom Hardy’s tenure as the iconic villain and, hopefully, tie the villain-verse up in a neat little bow.
Venom may have yet another movie franchise coming down the pipeline, however, Another rumor suggests Sony is looking for the symbiote to get his own animated movie helmed by Invincible and The Boys producer Seth Rogen. Though, much like their appearance in Spider-Man 4, this rumor is unconfirmed.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is now available to own on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding Spider-Man’s Marvel Cinematic Universe future and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
