However, a new rumor suggests the magic reached further. According to scooper MyTimeToShineHello, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire’s worlds also forgot their identities.
While a fun idea to toy around with, it’s more than likely this rumor doesn’t have much ground to stand on. It’s made very clear in Spider-Man: No Way Home that this spell only affects the MCU’s Peter Parker, which is why all the villains came through in the first place. Additionally, fans already saw Andrew Garfield’s real identity in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, essentially debunking the rumor outright.
Spider-Man’s Future In The MCU
Even though Peter Parker may no longer exist in the MCU, that doesn’t mean there isn’t a future for Spider-Man. It’s unclear if this means the hero will don the suit for the whole movie, or simply as a final act teaser for a future project.
