‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ Concept Art Reveals Comic-Accurate Hydro-Man

A new concept design from Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Far From Home shows off a comic-accurate design for Hydro-Man.

Although Hydro-Man wasn’t technically a real character in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the villain nearly had a comic book-accurate design for his role in the Venice sequence of the film. While he was one of Mysterio’s projections, Hydro-Man went through a number of different looks before Marvel Studios and Sony settled on the monstrous giant that caused havoc in the Italian city. Thanks to an artist on Instagram, a new concept design unveils an accurate design of the villain.

Concept artist Jerad S. Marantz showed fans the alternate design for Hydro-Man in Spider-Man: Far From Home on his Instagram, which is similar to the final look for the villain, but still feels closer to his comic book origins. The design shows Hydro-Man standing upright in the water almost snake-like, but the Spider-Man villain has visibly detailed features sculpted from the water instead of just having a vague shape like his look in the film. It’s not the first time Marantz showed off a radically different Hydro-Man design, previously revealing a multi-armed vision of the villain. You can check out his latest piece below.

What do you think of this new Hydro-Man? Do you think the villain should’ve looked different in Far From Home? Sound-off in the comments below!
