‘Superman’: James Gunn Shows Off New Look At Logo In BTS Photo

Blink and you"ll miss it!

James Gunn wants to show off Superman on his own terms! A behind-the-scenes photo from the set of the upcoming DC Universe movie reveals a new look at its logo.

The first look at the official logo for Superman was recently revealed at CinemaCon. This set the internet ablaze with praise for the emblem’s vibrant design. However, it seems James Gunn isn’t content with the logo only being seen in blurry photos. The DC Studios co-chair recently put out a BTS photo with the logo “accidentally” in the background.

While less vibrant than the CinemaCon image, this logo does align with all prior leaks and BTS photos from Superman. James Gunn has tried to keep a tight lid on the project, so it’s a shame the official logo had to be shown off in such a casual manner. Though it’s possible many fans may miss it given the adorable cast member in the foreground!

The Super Dog Of Superman’s Production

The dog in the image above is Ira, the pet of Superman actor David Corenswet. James Gunn and the rest of the crew have been having fun posting a ton of BTS photos featuring the adorable dog while filming the DC Studios project, even joking he’s replacing Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane.

Ira likely isn’t the only dog to appear in Superman though. James Gunn has previously teased that Krypto the Superdog will appear in the DCU movie. While no BTS photos have confirmed who will be playing them, it’s possible that Ira may have a bigger role at DC Studios than just the goodest boy on set!

Superman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
