The Justice League is a ruse!

Is the Justice League actually in Superman? A new rumor suggests that fans may be suffering from a case of mistaken identity in the DC Universe.

The wait for Superman has been a period of collective hallucination in the DC Universe fandom. For so long, so little was publicly known about the movie that there was more speculation than news. This led to fact, such as Superman talking with a squirrel in the film, to be mixed with fiction, such as Superman facing off against a terrorist threat in the middle east. And one of the biggest places where wires have been crossed is the case of the Justice League.

For months, fans have taken the fact that the Justice League will be in the film for granted. Specifically, that Mister Terrific, Hawkgirl, and Guy Gardner will be the DC Universe’s Justice League of America under Maxwell Lord. However, it seems that isn’t exactly the case, as a new rumor from DanielRPK reveals that the team will actually be called the Justice Gang in Superman.

Who Are The Justice Gang?

While the Justice Gang doesn’t exist in any prior incarnation of the DC Universe, there is evidence supporting this rumor. A Mattel toy listing has revealed a “Justice Gang” card pack, complete with cards representing Superman, Mister Terrific, Hawkgirl, and Guy Gardner. It’s possible that Superman will see this Justice Gang as a proto-version of the Justice League.

The Justice Gang could also be setting up another team in the comics: The Injustice Gang, which was created by Libra to balance out the forces of good and evil in the DC Universe. If Superman convinces all of the heroes to join the Justice League, it wouldn’t be shocking to hear that Maxwell Lord would create an evil version of the team to fight them, especially given the rumors surrounding Checkmate’s involvement in future projects.

Superman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
