Superman has some surprises left!

Will Superman take audiences by surprise? The latest test screening rumor suggests that the DC Universe film may have more surprises than fans first thought.

With Superman only a few months out, the rumor mill has been awash with reports of about any test screening that takes place for the film. Usually, they’re general remarks about the film’s tone and quality, with little plot details due to how easy it would be for studios to track down leakers directly. However, it seems as though DC Universe fans are ready to eat good with the most recent report about the film.

A report about the film was written on the DCULeaks subreddit by someone who supposedly saw a recent test screening of Superman. While the rumor is currently unconfirmed by the moderators, it does potentially reveal some key details. This includes the lack of a post-credits scene, a slightly choppy performance from Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and the fact that fans have seen less of the DC Universe than they think.

Superman Has Super Surprises In Store

The biggest thing this rumor (reportedly) reveals from the test screening is that internet users are “way off” in regards to their speculation. While there has been plenty of ink spilled about Superman, it’s likely this is referring to the commonly held belief that the mysterious villain will be a version of Ultraman or Bizarro. If this report is to be believed, the villain of the first DC Universe film will be someone entirely off the radar.

The rumor also suggests that “characters” aren’t who people believe them to be. This seems to imply the internet isn’t just wrong about the villain in Superman, but someone else on the cast. However, there are currently very few actors confirmed to be in the film without a corresponding DC Universe hero or villain. Perhaps the biggest unconfirmed name is Alan Tudyk, who many believe to be reprising his role as Doctor Phosphorous. Though given the current paths of speculation are wrong, it’s hard to say who exactly he’ll play in the film.

Superman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
