‘The Batman 2’ Gets Rumored Filming Date As Hush & Robin Reports Continue

Welcome to Gotham!

The Batman Part II Robert Pattinson Robin

Are Robin and Hush coming to Matt Reeves’ Gotham City? Rumors about The Batman Part II heat up with a brand new production start date.

Rumors about the villain and plot for The Batman Part II have been around ever since Matt Reeves first dropped his first DC Comics adaptation back in 2022. However, it seems fans will be getting concrete answers soon, with Hollywood insider DanielRPK saying casting for the project will start in February 2024, with hopes to shoot in late summer. The scooper adds that Robin and Hush are expected to appear in the highly-anticipated movie.

It certainly makes sense for Hush and Robin to take starring roles in The Batman Part II. Not only does Matt Reeves’ more grounded take on the character provide a great pretext for a story based around Hush, but it would provide a perfect contrast against the first film by focusing on the life of Bruce Wayne, not Batman. However, Batman fans will likely only know if all this is true come February.

The Future of Robert Pattinson’s Batman Series

The first movie ended with Batman apprehending the Riddler, who has flooded Gotham City, though details about Part II are currently scarce. Matt Reeves is co-writing the script of the sequel with Mattson Tomlin.

The heads of DC Studios recently revealed that The Batman: Part II is set to hit theaters on October 2025. The first movie earned $770.8 million at the worldwide box office, a figure that makes it the seventh highest-grossing movie of 2022.
