A new image from The Boys shows Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy back in 1945 during World War II.

Before the second season of The Boys was released it was revealed that Supernatural star Jensen Ackles had been cast as the character Soldier Boy. A parody of Captain America, Soldier Boy was one of the early subjects of Frederick Vought and one of the world’s first superheroes. Earlier this year, we got our first look at Soldier Boy on the set of Season 3 with the first trailer showing him in action.

Earlier today, the official Vought International Twitter account revealed a look at Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy from 1945 during World War II. You can see the full image below:

Here is the synopsis for The Boys Season 2:

The even more intense, more insane season two finds The Boys on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes, and desperately trying to regroup and fight back against Vought. In hiding, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) try to adjust to a new normal, with Butcher (Karl Urban) nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) must navigate her place in The Seven as Homelander (Antony Starr) sets his sights on taking complete control. His power is threatened with the addition of Stormfront (Aya Cash), a social media-savvy new Supe, who has an agenda of her own. On top of that, the Supervillain threat takes center stage and makes waves as Vought seeks to capitalize on the nation’s paranoia.

The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, and Colby Minifie, and Jensen Ackles.
