‘The Boys’ Season 2 Clip Sees Hughie Face Off With Karl Urban’s Butcher

Is a rift opening up between Karl Urban's team in 'The Boys'?

A new clip from The Boys season two sees Jack Quaid’s Hughie face off with Karl Urban’s Billy Butcher.

With only a few weeks to go until The Boys season two lands on Amazon Prime, a new clip from the show teases a showdown between Hughie and Karl Urban’s Butcher. The two had a tumultuous relationship throughout the first season, since Hughie wasn’t quite convinced about Butcher’s violent methods. A number of new clips from The Boys season two have arrived in the past few weeks, with the most recent showing The Deep begging forgiveness from Starlight.

The brand new clip shows just how intimidating Karl Urban’s Billy Butcher can be, as Hughie confronts the team leader over his murky ways in front of the group. Unfortunately for the younger member of the squad, Butcher doesn’t really think much of insubordination and quickly talks him down in his lovably-profane way with words. The new footage seems to suggest there’ll be a rift opening up between the group in the new season. Hopefully it doesn’t get in the way of their gory antics. Take a look at The Boys clip below.

Here is the official synopsis for the second season of The Boys:

The even more intense, more insane season two finds The Boys on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes, and desperately trying to regroup and fight back against Vought. In hiding, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) try to adjust to a new normal, with Butcher (Karl Urban) nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) must navigate her place in The Seven as Homelander (Antony Starr) sets his sights on taking complete control. His power is threatened with the addition of Stormfront (Aya Cash), a social media-savvy new Supe, who has an agenda of her own. On top of that, the Supervillain threat takes center stage and makes waves as Vought seeks to capitalize on the nation’s paranoia.

The Boys stars Karl Urban Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Kapon, Karen Fukuhara, and Nathan Mitchell. So far, the series has added Goran Visnjic and Claudia Doumit for season two.
