Just say no!

Captain America Spider-Man herogasm Jensen Ackles Solider Boy The Boys

A new set of videos from The Boys featuring Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy pokes fun at the Captain America PSAs in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Back in mid-2020, it was revealed that Supernatural star Jensen Ackles had joined the cast of The Boys and would be portraying the series’ infamous Captain America parody, Soldier Boy. The character was first mentioned by Giancarlo Esposito’s Stan Edgar in the show’s second season. For a time it wasn’t clear what role he would have in the show but the first full trailer seems to indicate he was a part of Billy Butcher’s plan to take down Homelander.

Despite all of the images we’ve seen of the character we still haven’t seen any footage of him that really showed off his personality. This, however, has finally changed. Earlier this week, The Boys showrunner posted a new video that featured Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy. The video was an anti-drug PSA featuring the character in a way that clearly is meant to be a parody of the Captain America video in Spider-Man: Homecoming:

Earlier today, The Boys’ official Twitter account posted another video showing outtakes of Soldier Boy shooting the video, becoming increasingly difficult to work with and irritated as the video goes on:

Here is the synopsis for the second season of Amazon’s The Boys:

The even more intense, more insane season two finds The Boys on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes, and desperately trying to regroup and fight back against Vought. In hiding, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) try to adjust to a new normal, with Butcher (Karl Urban) nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) must navigate her place in The Seven as Homelander (Antony Starr) sets his sights on taking complete control. His power is threatened with the addition of Stormfront (Aya Cash), a social media-savvy new Supe, who has an agenda of her own. On top of that, the Supervillain threat takes center stage and makes waves as Vought seeks to capitalize on the nation’s paranoia.

The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, and Jensen Ackles.
