The Fantastic Four: First Steps is sticking to the comics! A new batch of set photos reveal that one of the team’s most iconic inventions is coming to the MCU in the reboot.
For how highly-anticipated The Fantastic Four: First Steps is, Marvel has been oddly blasé when it comes to leaks coming from the reboot’s production. Previous set photos have already confirmed major character debuts for the MCU. And in this latest set, it seems the team will be taking a ride in one of the most beloved vehicles in all of comics: The Fantasticar!
While Marvel had previously unveiled the Fantasticar at their San Diego Comic-Con panel for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, there are plenty of things confirmed at those panels that never make it to screen. (Just look at Blade!) The MCU is taking a very different direction with this reboot, giving it an entirely different tone than any that came before it. And given how those films performed at the box office, that may be for the best!
Set Photos Reveal Clearer Look At The MCU Team
Last week set photos unveiled a statue of Marvel’s first family, giving fans their first look at the team fully assembled in the MCU. With the dawn of a new day, drones were able to get closer to the set of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, giving fans an even better look at the designs of the heroes in the reboot. It’s almost possible to make out The Thing’s head!
While the production design for The Fantastic Four: First Steps is world class, some fans are worried about the reboot’s VFX quality. Superman releases the same month, and wrapped filming before the Marvel even started production on the film. It’ll be interesting to see if the film manages to overcome the time constraints, or if it’ll continue the recent streak of MCU films having less than stellar CGI.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps opens on July 25, 2025. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
