Buckle up, The Last Of Us fans! The season 2 of the series may have found its Abby Anderson in the form of Booksmart alum Kaitlyn Dever.
The Last Of Us ended up being one of the break-out shows of last year. With the strikes now over, HBO is now fast-tracking season 2 to release as soon as possible. According to reliable insider Jeff Sneider, this includes casting for a number of key roles in the season. Most notably, it seems the show has cast Kaitlyn Dever as one of the most iconic characters in the franchise: Abby Anderson.
Abby Anderson stands as either the most beloved or most hated character in the franchise depending on who you ask. Setting out on her own journey to track down Joel and get revenge for him killing her father, Anderson played a central role in why the second game is so controversial. It’s unclear if The Last Of Us season 2 will adapt her storyline 100% faithfully to the games, but what is clear is that Kaitlyn Dever would certainly be a phenomenal choice for the role.

Hired to smuggle Ellie out of a quarantine zone, Joel finds himself relying on the teenage girl just as much as she relies on him as they fight to survive on their journey across the United States.
