A new teaser for the long-awaited The New Mutants arrived ahead of the upcoming virtual Comic-Con panel.
Although it seems like The New Mutants will never arrive in theaters after numerous delays, the director and some of the cast will appear on a virtual panel for Comic-Con At Home, which replaces this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. The people behind the movie will be discussing the final X-Men film from the Fox era alongside director Josh Boone. Boone recently mentioned that he’d love to direct a trilogy of The New Mutants films, but he’s waiting to see how successful the first chapter is.
The Comic-Con news was also accompanied by a short teaser for the film which highlighted each mutant’s worst fears as they’re hunted through the mysterious facility run by Alice Braga’s character. It briefly showed off all the things haunting the team from the Smiley Men to the terrifying Demon Bear. It ends with an incredible shot of Anya Taylor-Joy’s Magik, wielding her mystical armor and her Soulsword. Take a look at the new footage below.
What do you think of The New Mutants footage? Do you think it’ll ever make it into theaters? What do you want the cast to talk about on the panel? Sound-off in the comments below!
