Tom Holland Spider-Man No Way Home Poster

A brand new poster for Spider-Man: No Way Home captures Tom Holland in a pivotal scene.

Roughly a month after its official release in theaters, Spider-Man: No Way Home continues its successful box office run. The film, which stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker, brings the character to perhaps his most emotionally complex journey thus far. The 25-year-old actor has been receiving much praise from critics and audiences alike for his performance in the film, which pushes him to some of the darkest moments in his onscreen history thus far.

SPOILER WARNING: The rest of this article will explore key moments from Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Towards the end of the film’s second act, Norman Osborn/Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) throws a pumpkin bomb at Aunt May Parker (Marisa Tomei), which leads to her tragic death as Peter attempts to console her. This then leads to a scene in which we see Spider-Man at the top of a building watching a news telecast from the Daily Bugle with J. Jonah Jameson (J.K. Simmons). As he fights back tears, Peter grapples with the weight of his decisions that led to the death of his guardian.

An official poster featuring Tom Holland during this emotional scene was released, and it’s perhaps one of the best posters for Spider-Man: No Way Home we have seen thus far:

The image of Tom Holland in his suit with his back facing the camera looking over the New York City skyline is reminiscent of iconic posters that featured both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s versions of Peter Parker doing the same thing. Although this poster captures the aftermath of the tragedy that occurred right before, the fact that it also pays a subtle tribute to previous posters is also a nice touch.

Here is the synopsis for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home:

“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.”

Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Marvel’s No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx, with Andrew Garfield, Tobey Maguire, and Tom Hardy.
