A new concept design from Avengers: Infinity War gives Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier a Black Panther inspired costume.
When Bucky Barnes was taken to Wakanda at the end of Captain America: Civil War, many fans rightfully assumed he’d get some technological help from Black Panther before the next Avengers film. After a brief time of recovery, the Winter Soldier donned a new vibranium arm before fighting alongside the other heroes against Thanos’ forces in Avengers: Infinity War. Bucky will next be seen in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney Plus, as the crew are gearing up to resume production in Atlanta. But a new design from Infinity War gives the hero a Black Panther inspired costume for the fight against Thanos.
Fans will next see the hero go up against Daniel Bruhl’s Zemo, and the star behind the villain recently discussed seeing the iconic purple mask for the first time. The new concept art comes from Rodney Fuentebella, who explained in the caption that he wanted to give the Winter Soldier some lines that looked similar to Black Panther’s costume, since the Wakandan hero was helping Bucky after years of trauma at the hands of Hydra. Take a look at the design below.
What do you think of the alternate design for the Winter Soldier in Avengers: Infinity War? Do you like the Black Panther inspired look? Are you excited to see Bucky Barnes in the Disney Plus series? Sound-off in the comments below!
