‘Justice League’ Director Zack Snyder Teases More Knightmare Scenes

Zack Snyder Justice League Knightmare Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice

Justice League director Zack Snyder has teased that there are more Knightmare scenes that we haven’t seen.

Earlier this month, DC fans and naysayers went into a frenzy when Zack Snyder announced that his cut of Justice League, dubbed “The Snyder Cut”, would be hitting HBO Max in 2021. The now confirmed cut of the film is set to feature some of Snyder’s most exciting ideas that failed to hit the big screen. Some of the cut content we’ll likely be seeing includes Martian Manhunter and Darkseid brushing shoulders with the Justice League. In the wake of the historic announcement, Snyder has also teased more Knightmare sequences.

Over on his Vero account, Zack Snyder was asked by a fan if there were any more Knightmare sequences. Snyder, who has never been one to ignore the query of fans, replied with an “oh ya”. The interaction between the Justice League director and fan can be seen captured below.

Before we get all too excited, it should be kept in mind that Zack Snyder hasn’t explicitly confirmed that these additional Knightmare sequences will be seen in his upcoming cut of Justice League. The Knightmare sequences were featured in the middle of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, serving as a look into a tyrannical future that Batman would have to stop. The sequence divided fans and critics, with the former praising the world building it did as well as its implications, while the latter just found it completely out of place in what was already deemed an overstuffed film.

Zack Snyder’s Knightmare sequences did eventually pave the way for Justice League, despite being undermined in the final product. Hopefully, we’ll get to see more of the sequence in Snyder’s upcoming cut of the film but it’s best to temper expectations at the moment. Knowing Snyder, he’ll probably let us know on Vero in the coming months if they’ll actually be on the streaming service’s version of the film.
