Andrew Garfield wants to work with Spider-Man actors Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland again.
Fresh off of the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Andrew Garfield has been the talk of the town for the last month. Given that fans have been singling him out as a highlight of the film, many are hopeful to see him return in the future, potentially in a third Amazing Spider-Man film.
The image of Andrew Garfield standing alongside Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire as their respective versions of Peter Parker has been bringing millions of audiences to thunderous applause. Thankfully, all three survived the epic climax of the film, leaving fans hopeful that perhaps they could return in the future.
Among those fans is none other than Andrew Garfield himself. The Academy Award-nominated actor was ecstatic to return to the role, and given his connection to both Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland, he hopes to work with them again in the future:
“I would love to continue working with Tobey and with Tom. I think that kind of three-brother dynamic is so… I don’t know, juicy.”
In the film, Andrew Garfield’s version of Peter Parker exudes the energy of a middle child. Tobey Maguire, serving as the older mentor that has seen everything while Tom Holland serves as the little brother that is now dealing with the weight of adult responsibilities. It would be wonderful to see that dynamic explored again in the future.
Here is the synopsis for the film:
“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.”
Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Marvel’s No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx, with Andrew Garfield, Tobey Maguire, and Tom Hardy.
