Audiences weren’t the biggest fans of Thor’s armor design in Thor: Love and Thunder. New concept art reveals an alternate look for Chris Hemsworth’s God of Thunder.
Thor: Love and Thunder had a lot of issues, but one of the lesser-talked-about ones among fans was the lackluster design of Thor’s armor, with many calling it too loud with the bright yellows and blues. However, it seems it wasn’t always that way, with concept art by artist Aleksi Briclot revealing a much more grounded look for Chris Hemsworth.
This design seems to be a mix of Odin’s armor from the original Thor film and the short hair from Avengers: Infinity War. While far from a perfect design, this concept art is likely closer to what many fans would have wanted out of Thor: Love and Thunder. Hopefully, fans will get a better costume when Chis Hemsworth inevitably returns to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Hercules v Thor: Dawn of Thunder?
Taika Waititi’s comments regarding the MCU’s plans for Hercules are quite interesting. When you factor in the fact that recently, numerous titles were trademarked for Marvel Studios, one of those was Hercules: Rise of the Gods. Whether or not this is referring to a new film or TV series remains unknown, but this trademark was also listed alongside now-confirmed titles such as Captain America: New World Order, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, and Avengers: Secret Wars.
Here is the synopsis for Thor: Love and Thunder:
The film finds Thor (Chris Hemsworth) on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But his retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.
Directed by Taika Waititi and produced by Kevin Feige and Brad Winderbaum, the Thor solo film stars Chris Hemsworth, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Jaimie Alexander, Taika Waititi, Russell Crowe, Natalie Portman, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper.
