Karen Fukuhara’s Katana had a bigger role in David Ayer’s version of Suicide Squad.
Suicide Squad director David Ayer is still dropping tidbits regarding his version of the supervillain team-up movie, with his latest reveal being that Karen Fukuhara’s Katana had a bigger role in his cut. The reveal comes after Ayer recently said that his Suicide Squad cut featured a scene in which Cara Delevingne’s Enchantress takes control of Katana and attacks the rest of Task Force X.

With Zack Snyder’s Justice League cut coming to HBO Max, Suicide Squad fans have been asking Warner Bros. to release David Ayer’s version of the supervillain team-up flick on the WarnerMedia streaming service. Last month, Ayer himself revealed that his version of Suicide Squad is almost finished.

The first Suicide Squad followed a team of supervillains who were recruited by the government for a dangerous black ops mission in exchange for reduced sentences. The ensemble cast included Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jared Leto as The Joker. However, James Gunn is expected to deliver on the fresh take on the team in his upcoming movie.
