It seems as though the Fantastic Four news train is finally starting back up! According to a reliable insider, Javier Bardem is in the running to play Galactus in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe reboot.
Fans have been waiting for any news on Marvel’s first family ever since the reboot was announced way back in 2020. It seems as though the casting of Pedro Pascal as Mr. Fantastic has opened the floodgates. According to Hollywood insider Jeff Sneider, Javier Bardem is the current frontrunner to play Galactus in the MCU.
Unlike Pedro Pascal, Javier Bardem isn’t a lock for his role. The actor is currently working through scheduling conflicts between the Fantastic Four and his upcoming role in Apple’s F1 movie starring Brad Pitt, meaning the role of Galactus could go to another actor in the running like Antonio Banderas. Regardless, it seems as though the Devourer of Worlds is coming to the MCU soon!
What we know about the Fantastic Four movie

John Krasinski played the Earth-838 variant of Reed Richards in Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but his future as the character is currently in doubt. Krasinski’s wife Emily Blunt has said that she’s hopeful we’ll see the actor back as Richards for Fantastic Four.
Fantastic Four opens on May 2, 2025. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
