The proposed Gotham Knights series has received a full-season order at the CW.
Back in late 2021, it was revealed that a new DC Universe CW series was in development. That series was Gotham Knights which would follow one of Bruce Wayne’s adopted children who forms an alliance with the kids of Batman’s enemies after his murder. Earlier this year the CW ordered a full pilot for the proposed series.
As the year has gone on the cast for Gotham Knights has steadily been filling out. Supernatural star Misha Collins joined the cast as Harvey Dent with Anna Lore portraying Stephanie Brown. Pacific Rim: Uprising star Rahart Adams has also joined the cast as a character known only as Brody. Now it appears that the cast will have to work in these roles for the next year or so.
According to reports, the CW has ordered a full season for the Gotham Knights series. With both Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman canceled, the CW could be looking to fill in some of the slots left behind by these shows. It is currently unknown how many episodes the season will have.
Here is the premise for The CW’s Gotham Knights pilot:
In the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder, his rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. And as the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it’s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights.
Written by Batwoman‘s Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux, and Natalie Abrams, the pilot will star Oscar Morgan as Turner Hayes, Olivia Rose Keegan as Duela Dent, Navia Robinson as Carrie Kelley, Fallon Smythe as Harper Row, Tyler DiChiara as Cullen Row, Misha Collins as Harvey Dent, Anna Lore as Stephanie Brown, and Rahart Adams as Brody.
