As Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav looks to further capitalize on the full potential of DC Comics, with some reports claiming that a content vertical for the company is being looked at, it will be interesting to see how this series factors into the new plans. Although the cancellations of numerous series may leave one thinking that this will only last one season, anything can happen.

Here is the synopsis for the pilot for the upcoming The CW series:

In the wake of Bruce Wayne’s murder, his rebellious adopted son forges an unlikely alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies when they are all framed for killing the Caped Crusader. And as the city’s most wanted criminals, this renegade band of misfits must fight to clear their names. But in a Gotham with no Dark Knight to protect it, the city descends into the most dangerous it’s ever been. However, hope comes from the most unexpected of places as this team of mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors known as the Gotham Knights.

Written by Batwoman’s Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux, and Natalie Abrams, the pilot will star Oscar Morgan as Turner Hayes, Olivia Rose Keegan as Duela Dent, Navia Robinson as Carrie Kelley, Fallon Smythe as Harper Row, Tyler DiChiara as Cullen Row, Misha Collins as Harvey Dent, Anna Lore as Stephanie Brown, and Rahart Adams as Brody.
