Patrick Stewart has teased Professor X’s return in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness and how it will happen.
Last month Marvel released the second trailer for Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness which contained a lot of insanity. We say man different variants of the character, returning stars, and a few new ones to boot. The thing that blew everyone away, however, was an off-camera voice that was a dead ringer for Patrick Stewart from the X-Men franchise.
When asked about it, Patrick Stewart was coy about whether or not he was returning to the role of Professor X in the new Doctor Strange film. He eventually confirmed that it was, indeed, his voice in the film, but has remained tight-lipped about how big of a role he has in the film. The last time we saw the actor as Professor X was in the 2017 film, Logan where both he and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine met with incredibly depressing ends.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stones, Patrick Stewart was asked about returning as Professor X for Doctor Strange 2. While the actor didn’t give away any details he reinforced that he was returning but as to how we would have to wait and see:
“This is a very delicate area… All I can say to you is we’ll have to see. But bear in mind that Professor Xavier has already died twice. I think he must have some sort of Superman quality.”
Here is the synopsis for the upcoming film:
