Another DC hero is headed to Peacemaker! James Gunn teased a new character heading into season 2, and fans are confused!
For as much news as fans have gotten about the DC Universe in recent months, information about Peacemaker season 2 has been surprisingly sparse. The only leaks came from filming of the premiere in Texas, where it seemed to confirm that James Gunn will be bringing the iconic Paramour of Peace into the newly rebooted continuity.
That is, until James Gunn decided to burst the floodgates open with teases of a new hero coming to Peacemaker in season 2. Almost no information was provided about what character this could be from the DC comics, except for the cryptic tease of “Who might this be?” This suggests that they’ll have a prominent role in the project, even if they might not be around for long.

Who Is Peacemaker’s Mystery Character?
Speculation immediately exploded under James Gunn’s post. An early frontrunner for the mystery character in Peacemaker season 2 was Little Sure Shot, a sniper in Sgt. Rock’s Easy Company, which has been a project long rumored for the DC Universe reboot. However, given the silhouette looks nothing like what appears to be the character in the Creature Commandos trailer, it’s likely another character.
Some other characters picking up steam in speculation include Scalphunter, Apache Chief, and even the Last Boy on Earth Kamandi. However, it’s also possible that this is James Gunn giving fans their first look at Peacemaker’s brother in season 2. With set murals confirming that he’ll appear in the show, it’s possible he reverted to being feral, especially given his muscular body type.
