The first episode for Netflix’s upcoming Stranger Things 4 was screened early for press, and reactions have hit the web.

After a three-year hiatus, Netflix’s highly-anticipated Stranger Things 4 is about to premiere. The season, which is set to premiere in two parts, looks to be building up with more horror elements than ever before, as the beloved characters encounter perhaps some of the most threatening terrors they have faced thus far.

The first episode of Stranger Things 4 was screened early for press, and early reactions have hit the web. You can read a few of them down below:

The maturation and horror of Stranger Things 4.

It’s hard to believe that even though we’re only on the fourth season, it’s been six years since Netflix’s blockbuster series first premiered. Through that time, we have witnessed the kids grow up before our very eyes, so naturally, maturation would be expected for the series. Gone are the days where the kids can just aimlessly ride their bikes without a care in the world. After fighting Demogorgons and coming to close in contact with some other horrific creatures, it’s hard not to grow up a bit faster.

Now that much of the younger cast have grown up to young adulthood, it looks like that the new season will be perhaps the deepest exploration of horror that the series has had so far. Now, the mortal danger will feel all-the-more intense partly because of pre-established connections to the characters as well as how the production value for the Netflix series has skyrocketed.

Here is the synopsis for Stranger Things 4:

“It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.”

Created by the Duffer Brothers, Netflix’s Stranger Things 4 stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, Brett Gelman, Jamie Campbell Bower, Eduardo Franco, Joseph Quinn.

Netflix’s Stranger Things 4 will start on May 27th and conclude on July 1st. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the upcoming season and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
