Sydney Sweeney has been running the full gamut in Hollywood these past few years. From acclaimed dramas like Euphoria, to romantic comedies like Anyone But You, and even bad movies like Madame Web. Now, a new rumor suggests that she’s ready to take to the skies in the Star Wars universe.
According to scooper MyTimeToShineHello, Lucasfilm is eyeing Sydney Sweeney to portray a Jedi in an upcoming Star Wars project. While it wasn’t stated which project she might be appearing in, given the timing, all signs point to her potentially playing one of the disciples in the upcoming Rey film.
Sydney Sweeney Takes Over Nerd Culture
Star Wars isn’t even the only sci-fi franchise Sydney Sweeney is involved with, if this rumor is true. She may be going from Jedi to Jane Fonda! The actress has been attached to a Barbarella reboot for quite some time, with Edgar Wright currently in talks to direct.
This isn’t to mention that Madame Web may not be the end of her involvement with the superhero side of Disney. In addition to Star Wars, Sydney Sweeney is reportedly also in talks with Marvel for an undisclosed role. Based on current speculation, she would likely play a leading part in the upcoming The Blonde Phantom series.
