A new report suggests the trailer for Disney Plus’ The Mandalorian season two will arrive sooner than fans expected.
With the second season of The Mandalorian arriving later this year, a new report suggests a trailer for the Disney Plus series will debut quite soon to tie into what’s usually an important time of the year for Star Wars fans. Most recently, The Mandalorian star Giancarlo Esposito teased the epic lightsaber action ahead for the second season, which could likely tie into Rosario Dawson’s potential introduction to the series as fan-favorite Force user, Ahsoka Tano.
A new report from LRM suggests a couple of dates for The Mandalorian season two trailer, August 20 and August 22. Aside from tying into the weekend of Star Wars Celebration before it was cancelled, the site suggests the trailer will drop in the NBA playoffs. The site also notes that Disney usually drop something whenever Warner Bros. have a large announcement, just to keep up the rivalry. And with DC FanDome taking place this weekend, the idea makes sense. Here’s when the trailer for the Disney Plus series will supposedly arrive.
Game 2, Aug. 20: Trail Blazers vs. Lakers | 9 p.m. ET on ESPN
Game 3, Aug. 22: Lakers vs Trailer Blazers | 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC
What do you want to see from Disney Plus’ The Mandalorian season two trailer? More Baby Yoda? Or do you think it should focus on the Darksaber and Giancarlo Esposito? Sound-off in the comments and let us know!
Here is the official synopsis for The Mandalorian:
After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, and Nick Nolte. The Star Wars series was written by Jon Favreau, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist is also on board as a co-executive producer.
Dave Filoni directed the first episode of The Mandalorian and additional episodes of the Star Wars series were helmed by Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi, Jurassic World star Bryce Dallas Howard, Dope director Rick Famuyiwa, and Jessica Jones director Deborah Chow.
The Mandalorian season two will premiere in October on Disney Plus. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news on Star Wars and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more video content in the future!
