Keanu Reeves’ upcoming sci-fi action film, The Matrix 4 has been pushed back by Warner Bros to April of 2022.
Earlier today, a number of Warner Bros’ upcoming films were delayed by the company. This first started with Tenet which was only delayed by two weeks. Not long after, Wonder Woman 1984 was pushed back from August to October of this year. Now Keanu Reeves’ upcoming film, The Matrix 4 has also been delayed by nearly a year.
The Matrix 4 was originally set to be released on May 21st of 2021 but has been delayed by nearly a year. The upcoming Keanu Reeves film will now be released on April 1st of 2022. The film’s original release spot will now be taken over by Warner Bros’ upcoming kaiju film, Godzilla vs Kong which itself was delayed from its original November 2020 release date.

The Matrix and its two sequels collectively earned a total of $1.6 billion at the worldwide box office. Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss portrayed Neo and Trinity, respectively, in all three chapters of the film series, each of which were directed by Lana and Lilly Wachowski.
