Spider-Man: No Way Home star Tom Holland shared his thoughts on Jon Watts’ upcoming Fantastic Four reboot.

After his work in a trilogy of Spider-Man movies with Tom Holland, director Jon Watts will be jumping onto another Marvel Studios property with the newly-acquired Fantastic Four. This new iteration of Marvel’s first family is one of fans’ most-anticipated new projects, and Tom Holland is certainly excited to see his director move on to that group of superheroes.

However, when it comes to potentially seeing Tom Holland’s Spider-Man appear alongside the Fantastic Four in their first Marvel Cinematic Universe film, the 25-year-old actor is a bit uncertain about that idea, he tells comicbookmovie.com:

“While I’d love to be in that film [because] I love Jon and would be really excited to see what he does with the Fantastic Four, I think what we need to do with Spider-Man is let it breathe and almost let the audience tell us what they want.”

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has quite a big plate ahead of him, even after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. With Jon Watts moving on to direct a Fantastic Four movie, it would be interesting to see these two entities interact in the future. Given the comic book history, it would be pretty satisfying to see Tom Holland’s Peter Parker grow into his adult life dealing with more grown-up issues alongside his fellow MCU superheroes.

Here is the synopsis for Spider-Man: No Way Home:

“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.”

Directed by Jon Watts from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Martin Starr, J.B. Smoove, Marisa Tomei, Jon Favreau, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx, with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield heavily rumored to appear.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will hit theaters on December 17, 2021. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the film as well as the future of Jon Watts’ Fantastic Four, and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
