Kingpin actor Vincent D’Onofrio thinks Marvel Studios should bring Daredevil star Charlie Cox for a movie or in a supporting role.

While many fans are still disappointed that Matt Murdock’s solo series wasn’t picked up for a fourth season, Daredevil star Vincent D’Onofrio wholeheartedly believes that Marvel Studios should call Charlie Cox back to reprise the role. When speaking to ComicBook.com’s Adam Barnhardt, D’Onofrio explained that he thinks the studio should bring the star back for either a solo movie or in another hero’s adventure for a supporting role. The incredible actor behind the intimidating Kingpin also said he’d love to do a Joker-style movie, which would allow him to dive further into the character. But the star also pointed out that he believed in Cox as the Man Without Fear and that he loved working with him.

“The obvious one, which is Daredevil, I still believe in Charlie Cox as Daredevil. And I think that if they do a Daredevil film or have a Daredevil in one of their films, I only hope that it’s Charlie, because I believe in him as Daredevil, I loved working with that guy.”

Daredevil star Vincent D’Onofrio also explained why he enjoyed working with Charlie Cox so much, pointing out that his dedication to the role helped both of them bring their best performances to the show. The Kingpin actor also revealed that he does feel a sense of ownership over Wilson Fisk after playing him for three seasons, and while he only praised Cox, it would be great to see him get another chance to play the excellent villain once again.

“Not just because he’s a great guy, but because he’s a fine actor. A lot of people, I guess they don’t realize because they’re not actors that what it’s like to be on set with somebody that’s good, really good. And it’s a whole different experience than it is when you’re with somebody that’s, eh. Charlie was on it every day. We were together on it all the time, which brings us both up a notch.”
