Not only is he playing a literal Highlander in the upcoming reboot, but he made a cameo as the Cavillrine in Deadpool and Wolverine, and he’s attached to a potential series based on Warhammer 40k. Taking a starring role in a new Star Wars trilogy would almost literally complete the infinity gauntlet for fantasy and science fiction franchises.
Given recent reports that Lucasfilm worries they don’t have the star power to carry a new era for Star Wars following the events of the last trilogy, it would make sense for the studio to seek out one of the biggest action stars on the planet with Henry Cavill. Though with development on the project likely being fast-tracked, it likely won’t be long until fans discover the truth about this rumor.
