Fans may be returning to Westeros sooner than expected! Max has an exciting update for House of the Dragon Season 2.
House of the Dragon was one of the most surprising shows to come out of Max in recent years. Just as fans thought the Game of Thrones franchise was destroyed beyond repair, the series swooped in to show audiences that the universe is far from a one-trick pony.
This left fans itching for any news on House of the Dragon season 2. However, Max mostly stayed silent on the issue, leaving many fans to wonder when or if the franchise would continue. Despite the first season dropping in 2022, all of 2023 would pass without news of a release date for its sophomore outing.
When is House of the Dragon season 2 returning to Max?
Luckily, it seems Game of Thrones fans may be getting new content sooner than they hoped. While an exact release date is still being held hostage by Max, it seems House of the Dragon season 2 will be finding its way onto the streaming service sometime in June 2024, according to Warner Bros. Discovery streaming and gaming chief J.B. Perrette.
This leaves House of the Dragon season 2 to knock boots with some of the biggest releases of this summer season, with both The Bear and The Boys dropping new seasons the same month, along with the highly-anticipated Star Wars series The Acolyte.
Given the sheer size of Game of Thrones as a franchise, it’s likely House of the Dragon will still top the charts on Max. However, it’s possible the large wait between seasons may turn some fans off from returning for a second go-around. Though with the release date only a few months away, Game of Thrones fans won’t have to wait long to see if the gamble paid off.
Every episode of House Of The Dragon is now available on Max. Stay tuned for the latest news from the world of Game of Thrones and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
