It seems as though the cast of Deadpool 3 just keeps getting bigger. According to a new rumor, Dafne Keen is set to reprise her role as X-23 from Logan in the upcoming MCU film.
Dafne Keen was one of the breakout stars of Logan, which is what made it a massive shame the actress never got to reprise her role as X-23 in any subsequent projects, despite the actress both wishing to return in the MCU and having a spin-off in development before being canned. It seems Keen may finally be getting her wish, as insider DanielRPK has revealed the actress will return in Deadpool 3.
It’s unclear exactly what this means for Deadpool 3, as it’s previously been stated the film “won’t screw” with the events of Logan. It’s possible Dafne Keen is simply a variant of X-23, perhaps one that could continue her role in the future of the MCU with an origin closer to the character in the comics. Regardless, this news is certainly a treat to everyone involved, so long as the rumor turns out to be true.

Shawn Levy is directing Deadpool 3 after working with Ryan Reynolds on Free Guy and The Adam Project. The upcoming Marvel Studios project also marks a reunion between Levy and Hugh Jackman as the two worked together on Real Steel.
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are developing the Deadpool 3 script after penning the first two installments in the series. The Molyneux sisters worked on a previous draft of the project.
