A new report has revealed the final runtime of Shazam! Fury of the Gods.

According to One Take News, Shazam! Fury of the Gods runs for two hours and ten minutes, making it two minutes shorter than the first Shazam! movie. The site is a reliable source for these kind of details, having previously revealed the running times of movies like Sonic The Hedgehog 2 and Jurassic World Dominion.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods director David F. Sandberg recently announced that the movie has already been completed ahead of its release in 2023. The first official trailer for the sequel made its debut during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, with a new sneak peek expected to arrive in the coming weeks.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods wrapped filming in August 2021 and was originally set to hit theaters this Christmas before being delayed to 2023 alongside The Flash and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. The three films, along with Blue Beetle, are the final DC Universe projects that were overseen by Walter Hamada, the former president of DC Films.

Last month, Warner Bros. Discovery announced that Walter Hamada is being replaced by James Gunn and Peter Safran, with the duo overseeing DC’s film, television and animation efforts under a new banner known as DC Studios. Gunn and Safran are already close to completing a multi-year plan for the DC Universe, which is being kept under lock and key.

Who is attached to the Shazam! sequel?

David F. Sandberg directed Shazam! Fury of the Gods from a script written by Henry Gayden and Chris Morgan. The film stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Adam Brody, Ross Butler, Meagan Good, D.J. Cotrona, Grace Caroline Currey, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Marta Millans, Cooper Andrews, Djimon Hounsou, Rachel Zegler, Lucy Liu and Helen Mirren.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods opens on March 17, 2023. Stay tuned for all the latest news regarding the future of the DC Universe and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
