‘The Mandalorian’: Timothy Olyphant’s Character Wears Boba Fett’s Armor

A new report has revealed that Timothy Olyphant’s The Mandalorian character wears Boba Fett’s iconic armor.

Last week, Justified and Deadwood star Timothy Olyphant joined the cast of The Mandalorian season two in an undisclosed role. Now, Slashfilm reports that Olyphant’s The Mandalorian character will be seen with Boba Fett’s armor, leading to speculation that the actor is playing Cobb Vanth.

Introduced in Chuck Wendig’s Aftermath series, Cobb Vanth is a slave-turned-sheriff who serves as the law-keeper of Freetown, a community on the planet Tatooine. In Aftermath, Cobb Vanth wears a set of Mandalorian armor which he acquired from Jawas and is strongly implied to have belonged to Boba Fett.

Boba Fett himself is said to be in The Mandalorian season two, with Star Wars veteran Temuera Morrison taking on the role of the fan-favorite bounty hunter. The second season of the Disney Plus series is also expected to feature Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano and Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze.

The Mandalorian season two wrapped production this past March, and Disney and Lucasfilm are already working on the third season of the series. Post-production on the series is being done remotely, and Disney CEO Bob Chapek recently said that the second season won’t be delayed.

Here is the official synopsis for The Mandalorian:

After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, and Nick Nolte. The Star Wars series was written by Jon Favreau, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist is also on board as a co-executive producer.

The Mandalorian season one is now available exclusively on Disney Plus. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the Star Wars franchise and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
